Saad’s Narrative Unfolds At Miles2Smile’s Door

Meet Saad, a young spirit who wants to go beyond the horizon of an average achiever and add meaning to his life. Saad is  a UKG student with a heart for studies, always excels in English. When most kids of his age could not last a minute in silence or being alone, one can see Saad allowing his mind to wander.

He usually finds a spot on a bench at Sunrise Public School, a silent observer in the noisy playground. He has a world inside him, one filled with stories and colours.

At this young age, he has a place reserved for his nation; he aspires to become an army officer. His heart, pure and innocent, yearns to see the Indian tri-colour fluttering proudly against the sky.

With innocent eyes and tranquil air,

He sits near his father without care.

Saad finds tranquillity in the presence of his father, the respected Imaam of the local mosque. His father is not just a parent to him but his secret keeper and best friend. Their evenings are spent reciting the melodic verses of the Quran.

                                                  His Face, a bright beam,

hold talents that dances in hues of green.

For Saad, life is not confined to the pages of textbooks. His school offers a vibrant world of extracurricular activities, and Saad finds himself drawn to some of them. Studying is not a burden to him; he passionately does that.

The dream of becoming an army officer is not just an ambition; it is a promise. A promise to his nation, a promise to his faith, and above all, a promise to himself. His promise fills him with determination that shines through the shyness in his eyes. He finds Sunrise Public School an opportunity to fulfil his dreams.

Sunrise Public School provides a safe and nurturing environment for over 400 underprivileged children, including victims’ kids and orphans, in Loni, Ghaziabad. It offers quality education up to 8th grade, along with psychosocial support, through innovative teaching methods and personalized attention. The school equips students with essential life skills and values, ensuring no child is barred by financial limitations by providing uniforms, books and stationery.

Sunrise Public School, an initiative of the Miles2Smile and the Shaagird Foundation, offers a lifeline of quality education to countless promising students like Saad. In the face of adversity, the school stands as a ray of hope, empowering these young minds to reach their full potential. We wish to make schools like Sunrise Public School in every village and town. We wish to change the lives of all the Saads who work hard to achieve their dreams.
